NCSI Awards Bidvest Top Honours

To achieve top accolades in any industry field is a great recognition for an organisation. So when determining which organisation was to receive the NCSI Chairman’s Award for the final half of 2009, NCSI was proud to recognise the management systems excellence at Bidvest Australia Limited. The continuous high standard demonstrated and across the board commitment to quality and food safety management systems displayed by all Bidvest staff and management is something which any organisation should strive towards.

The Chairman’s Award is the highest recognition NCS International bestows upon its clients and their staff, publicly recognising those who use their management systems to manage risks and demonstrate the highest standards of excellence in the implementation and maintenance of continuous improvement.  The Chairman’s Award is nominated by NCSI audit staff that deliver thousands of audits each year across the full range of industry sectors and organisational sizes. The awards criteria is assessed by NCSI management. It is very apparent when organisations have excelled and created comprehensive and sustainable systems.

The Award was presented to Mr Bernard Berson CEO of Bidvest by NCSI’s CEO Mr Greg Jewson and Senior Client Manager Mr Jean Pierre Baumgartner in a presentation at the Bidvest Managers Conference held in Brisbane in March. The award recognised years of hard work by all the Bidvest staff as well as their dedicated Quality & Risk Manager Barry Bird and Operations Support Coordinator Emily Curry.

“This recognition of Bidvest highlights the company’s strong commitment to using management systems for business improvement over many years, with their first certification with NCSI dating back to 1994. This long term commitment is commendable and Bidvest can be doubly proud as the first client in the Food Services Industry to receive the Chairman’s award” - NCSI CEO Greg Jewson.

Previous winners of the NCSI Chairman’s Award include IP Australia and South Eastern Area Laboratory Services (SEALS).
